Bill Flack and Robin Harding led us on a bird watching tour of the farm.

The expert birders spotted a Nashville Warbler, a bird hard to see at all with the naked eye, even harder to name among a number of possible warblers,

This snow-on-the-mountain plant, while attractive to birds and pollinators, as well as to the eye, is toxic to humans and livestock.

A wide view of the farm may give the impression of a kind of perfection, hiding the fact there are invasive weeds and trees to control.

While looking for birds, as well as noting weed control issues, there was also time to stop and admire the fall flowers in the pollinator habitat.

Somewhere there in the middle of this Google Earth image is Birdland Farm, a visual break from the area's cropland.
